At the beginning of October, we had 11 hours and 34 minutes of daylight.

At the end of October, we will have 8 hours and 49 minutes of daylight.

So if you break it down and do the math, you will find that we lose exactly 5 minutes and 19 seconds of daylight each day.

So while you are enjoying all of your cute fall clothes, it is 31 degrees here today and I am trying to find enough layers to go to the store.

Welcome, winter.
